5 Ingredient Slow Cooker Winter Beef

Ingredients
- 250ml (1 cup) Massel Beef Style Liquid Stock
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 850g beef chuck steaks
- 2 brown onions, cut into wedges
- 2 carrots, thicky sliced diagonally
- 260g jar tomato chutney
- Mash potato, to serve (optional)
Method
1 Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Season steaks and cook for 3 minutes each side or until browned. Transfer meat to a slow cooker.
2 Add onion and carrot to same frying pan and cook, stirring occasionally, for 2-3 minutes or until starting to brown.
3 Transfer onion mixture to slow cooker. Add stock and chutney, then season. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours or until meat is tender. Shred beef coarsely (see note). Serve beef mixture on mash, if using.
