Here at Massel, we are constantly working to cater to all of consumers needs. Whether you are gluten-free, wheat-free, vegan, lactose intolerant, kosher, the list goes on and on. We also work hard to ensure that our labels are clear and correct nutritionally, to make sure that, with a Massel product, you’re able to feed your whole family healthily.
Unfortunately, food allergies are on the rise. According to Food Allergy Research and Education, every three minutes someone goes to the ER because of an allergic reaction. That results in more than 200,000 patients each year in the emergency-room due to food allergies.
To help grocery shoppers avoid encountering an allergic reaction, SuperMarket News has created a list of strategies to stop these encounters:
- Segregate allergy-friendly products from generic grocery store items
- Label shelves for products that contain ingredients that could cause an allergic reaction
- Require more specific training of employees to help consumers navigate labels and grocery aisles
