Crockpot cooking is practically synonymous with the winter season. Coming home after a long and cold blustery day to a meal steeped in broth, sauce and your favorite comfort foods is perhaps the best way to unwind. Kick off your boots and wrap up with a bowl (or two, or three) of Massel’s Slow Cooker Chicken Wild Rice Soup. With only five minutes of prep work in the morning and a splash of wine and heavy cream in the evening, you won’t need a culinary degree to serve this excellent concoction.
A healthy serving of Massel chicken style broth as well as our all-purpose seasoning granules, followed by carrots, onion and celery, join the chicken breasts during the slow cook. (Feel free to add even more of your favorite vegetables – wild rice goes great with nearly everything!) The resulting flavor profile is sure to impress both your family and dinner party guests, giving the impression that you slaved in the kitchen for hours to pull it off.
What they don’t know won’t hurt them!
