Homemade Cup-A-Soup made with Massel
Posted on November 9, 2014
Healthy cooking and natural lifestyle blogger Hayley Ryczek just sent us a link to her recipe for a homemade cup-a-soup made with Massel Bouillon. We love it. What a fantastic idea. Thank you so much for sharing this Hayley.
We don’t know about you, but our years as students were mainly fuelled by instant noodles and cup-a-soups, and we’re a bit nostalgic for those curiously tasty late night MSG fests. But since those halcyon days of beer and empty carbohydrates we like to think we’ve got a little more nutritionally savvy, and maybe even a little more sophisticated in our tastes.
However, give us a chance to revisit a dear old friend, and feel good about it?
Bring that healthy homemade cup-a-soup on!
Hayley’s recipe is based on homemade dried cauliflower rice, and she adds a dried vegetable soup blend and Massel’s gluten-free bouillon to make a delicious veggie packed broth. She stores her soups mix in handy jars, just perfect for lunch boxes, to stash at work, or at home for quick meals and healthy snacks. Click here for Hayley’s homemade cup-a-soup recipe
Earlier in the month Hayley also put together a delicious looking Creamy Broccoli Soup using Massel Bouillon. We’re a little addicted to broccoli soup, so it’s wonderful to be able to share this simple recipe, which Hayley says can be pulled together in under half an hour.
Hayley writes, “Last Thursday I made this soup… It was just something I was throwing-together while making dinner. In fact it came together so easily, my husband even commented that it couldn’t be done so quickly, when I served him up a bowl before dinner. I reminded him that good-food doesn’t take a lot of time & effort!”
We love that ethos. The Massel team whip up quick, easy soups for dinner at least two nights a week and we’re always looking for recipes to extend our repertoire. Hayley’s Creamy Broccoli Soup just joined our list of family favorites.
